Open roles
9 roles. 3 teams. One mission.
We are growing fast, but we are growing deliberately. Every role below reports into someone who still reads every client message. If you join DietOwl, you will never be far from the work that actually matters.
Team 01
Clinical
The heart of DietOwl. The team that actually talks to clients, reads their meal photos, and adjusts their plan week after week.
2 roles openClinical Dietitian
Own your clients end-to-end. See them change.
Remote · IndiaFull-time
What we need
- MSc in Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, or equivalent
- Registered Dietitian (RD) licence
- 2+ years of clinical or consulting experience (strong passion can substitute)
- Fluent written English; one or more Indian languages is a big plus
What you will do
- Build personalised nutrition plans grounded in your client's actual food, kitchen, and conditions
- Reply on WhatsApp through the day, including the occasional 11 PM craving
- Adjust the plan every week based on real progress, not a template
- Coordinate with your client's doctor when medications or lab reports need to be considered
- Learn from each case; share what you learned with the rest of the team
What success looks like
Your clients graduate. They don't just lose weight or manage their PCOS for three months. They leave you knowing how to feed themselves for life.
Senior Clinical Dietitian (Team Lead)
Mentor the dietitians who are mentoring our clients.
Remote · IndiaFull-time
What we need
- MSc in Clinical Nutrition or equivalent; Registered Dietitian licence
- 5+ years of clinical experience across diabetes, PCOS, thyroid, or weight management
- Prior experience mentoring or leading a small team of dietitians
- Comfort reading clinical research and translating it into internal protocols
What you will do
- Mentor a team of 4 to 6 dietitians; review their plans, coach their client messaging
- Write and maintain the internal clinical SOPs and case-handling playbooks
- Take on the most complex cases yourself. Lean PCOS, polypharmacy, post-pregnancy with complications, the ones where generic plans fall apart
- Partner with the product team to shape new features, from CGM integration to lab-report parsing
- Be the clinical conscience of the company. If a business decision will compromise a client, you say so loudly
What success looks like
Every junior dietitian on your team tells us they feel sharper six months in than the day they joined.
Team 02
Product & Engineering
The team that builds the software, AI, and design that lets dietitians spend more time with clients and less on paperwork.
3 roles openFull-Stack Engineer
Build the product that makes the dietitian's day 10x more useful.
Remote · IndiaFull-time
What we need
- 3+ years shipping production software in TypeScript with Node and Next.js
- Experience with Postgres, serverless deployment, and at least one messaging API (WhatsApp Business, Twilio, or similar)
- Comfort owning a feature end-to-end, from schema to UI, without handoffs
- You write tests that catch real regressions, not tests that hit a coverage number
What you will do
- Build the internal tooling our dietitians live in: client timelines, meal photo review, plan versioning, weekly check-ins
- Ship the client-facing experience: the consultation flow, the WhatsApp bot handoff, the progress views
- Partner with the AI/ML team to bring their models into day-to-day dietitian workflow
- Own reliability. When WhatsApp breaks at 11 PM, you are the person on call
What success looks like
A new dietitian can onboard a client, build their first plan, and send it on WhatsApp in under 20 minutes, without a spreadsheet in sight.
AI / ML Engineer
Help our dietitians do the job of ten, without losing the part that makes them human.
Remote · IndiaFull-time
What we need
- 3+ years working on production ML or LLM systems, not just notebooks
- Fluent with fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, and evaluating LLM output rigorously (not just vibes)
- Some background in nutrition, healthcare, or a similarly regulated domain is a plus
- Strong opinions about when AI is the right tool and when it absolutely is not
What you will do
- Build the nutrition-planning assistant that drafts the first version of every plan for the dietitian to review and edit
- Build the meal-photo recognition system that helps dietitians respond to 100 photos a day, not 10
- Design evaluation pipelines so we actually know when a model is helping versus hurting client outcomes
- Work directly with clinicians to catch the edge cases that generic models get wrong: lean PCOS, pregnancy modifications, post-bariatric nutrition
What success looks like
Every dietitian tells us the AI is the smartest colleague they have ever worked with, and they have never had to override it for a safety reason.
Product Designer
Design the experience that makes changing your diet feel possible.
Remote · IndiaFull-time
What we need
- 3+ years designing consumer-facing products, ideally in health, fintech, or education
- Strong systems thinking. You have shipped a real design system, not just components
- Fluent in Figma; comfortable prototyping interactions
- Willing to sketch in pencil before you open a design tool
What you will do
- Design the entire client experience, from landing page to WhatsApp onboarding to long-term relationship
- Design the internal tools dietitians spend their day in. These matter more than anything public
- Build and steward the DietOwl design system; keep visual and interaction consistency as we grow
- Run user research; talk to five clients a week and bring back what you actually heard
What success looks like
A client who has never used a health app in their life can book a consultation, receive a plan, and reply to a meal check-in without once needing help.
Team 03
Growth & Content
The team that makes sure the people who need DietOwl can actually find us, and feel seen the moment they do.
4 roles openContent Creator / Writer
Write the guides that become the reason someone trusts us.
Remote · IndiaFull-time · Open to contract
What we need
- A portfolio of published writing in health, wellness, or consumer-focused tech
- Comfortable with long-form (1,500 to 3,000 words), research-heavy writing
- 2+ years of writing experience in a brand or editorial setting
- Ability to read a clinical paper and translate it into something a prospective client can actually use
What you will do
- Write articles and guides that answer the real questions prospective clients are Googling
- Work with the dietitian team for clinical accuracy
- Work with the brand team for voice. We keep rice, roti, chai, and biryani on the page
- Own the editorial calendar; pitch topics that go deeper than the obvious
- Edit your own work. Then edit it again
What success looks like
Prospective clients tell our dietitians on the first call: ‘I read your article on rice for PCOS. That is why I am here.’
Social Media Manager
Be the voice of DietOwl on Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Remote · IndiaFull-time
What we need
- Strong grasp of Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts as content platforms, not just scheduling tools
- Can write a tight caption and speak clearly on camera
- 1 to 3 years of experience in brand social, content, or community management
- An eye for visual design; basic Canva / CapCut fluency
What you will do
- Own the DietOwl voice across Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms
- Read every comment, DM, and story reply. Treat each as a real person, not a metric
- Turn client wins into content, with their consent, in a way that feels respectful and real
- Protect the tone. We don't do clickbait, we don't do fear-mongering, and we don't chase trends that conflict with our values
- Run weekly experiments; share what worked and, more importantly, what didn't
What success looks like
Our account feels like a person, not a brand. Prospective clients slide into our DMs because they feel seen before they have even spoken to us.
Video Producer / Editor
Turn real client stories and nutrition truths into video that people actually finish.
Remote · IndiaFull-time · Open to contract
What we need
- 2+ years producing short-form video for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or TikTok
- Fluent in Premiere, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve
- Comfortable on both sides of the camera; you can direct a dietitian, film yourself, or hire talent
- A sharp eye for rhythm; you know when to cut on a beat and when to hold a silence
What you will do
- Produce 2 to 4 short-form videos a week, collaborating with dietitians on scripts
- Capture real client wins on video, with their consent, in a way that is genuine rather than salesy
- Shoot and edit longer-form video for YouTube. Educational content that positions our dietitians as the experts they are
- Build a repeatable production system so we are not reinventing the process every shoot
What success looks like
Someone scrolling Instagram at 1 AM stops on our video, watches the whole thing, and DMs us the next morning.
Growth Marketer (SEO + Performance)
Find the people who already need us, and make sure we are the first ones they find.
Remote · IndiaFull-time
What we need
- 3+ years in growth or performance marketing at a consumer brand or SaaS
- Deep SEO expertise: keyword research, technical SEO, content-led organic growth
- Fluent with Meta Ads and Google Ads; comfortable wiring up conversion tracking yourself
- You read the data before you write the strategy. You know the difference between correlation and what actually moved the number
What you will do
- Own organic growth; drive the editorial calendar with the content team to rank for the questions our prospects ask
- Run performance campaigns across Meta and Google with a brutal eye on CAC and payback
- Instrument every funnel step so we know exactly where prospects stall
- Kill underperforming channels faster than you launch new ones
What success looks like
Our cost to acquire a customer drops every quarter, and the customers you bring us are the right fit, not just the cheapest lead.
